Senior Financial Controller

32-40 hours per week, initially for 1 year, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

The team consists of over 80 professionals, including 30 different nationalities, with broad field experience and in-depth financial expertise. Triple Jumps’ investment portfolio spans across more than 60 countries.

 

 

Triple Jump offers professional asset management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management to fund administration. Triple Jump holds an AIFMD license and is regulated by the Dutch Central Bank and the Authority Financial Markets. Our investor base includes institutional investors, development banks, governments, NGOs, and retail banks, all of whom seek to combine both financial returns with social/environmental impact.

 

Role

As Senior Financial you will be the prime responsible for the financial and administrative organisation of Triple Jump B.V. You are responsible for the accounts and reporting of the company and related entities a.o. the foreign offices. You take the lead in the budgeting and control process, you will have oversights of the liquidity management of the company. You are the first point of contact for the external accountant regarding audit and business process control (coordination of ISAE-3402), and you liaise with tax advisors. You participate in overall company projects. You will head a team of currently 3 people. In addition, the job entails close cooperation with amongst others the Fund administration Team, Corporate Legal, the Regional Offices and the Executive Board In this role, you will report to the Director Fund Services.

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing the bookkeeping and financial administration of the company, its subsidiaries and affiliated entities;
  • Statutory reporting and regulatory reporting to DNB;
  • Tax reporting and tax compliance of the companies and investment funds;
  • Oversight of liquidity and cash management of the company;
  • Annual budgeting process, quarterly monitoring and results review;
  • Managing external relationships with the external auditor, tax-advisors, external administrator;
  • Optimizing business processes; increase efficiency and fully deploy system usage;
  • Involved in several team and company projects supporting product development/ company growth.

Requirements

Job requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or equivalent, chartered accountant degree preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller in the financial industry, preferable under AIFMD or MiFID regulation;
  • Solid managerial experience;
  • Good technical knowledge of Dutch GAAP/IFRS;
  • Knowledge of corporate tax and VAT is desired;
  • A thorough understanding service organization control reporting (ISAE 3402);
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch preferred, Spanish is an advantage.
