Senior Compliance Officer

Minimum of 32 hours per week, initially for 1 year, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Triple Jump offers professional asset management services to investors, ranging from asset selection, to portfolio management to fund administration. Triple Jump holds an AIFMD license and is regulated by the Dutch Central Bank and the Authority Financial Markets. Our investor base includes institutional investors, development banks, governments, NGOs, and retail banks, all of whom seek to combine both financial returns with and social/environmental impact.


Job description

As a Senior Compliance Officer you will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating compliance and integrity risks within the Company. This entails a wide range of Compliance related tasks and responsibilities, all aimed at managing compliance risks in a highly regulated environment. You will also be the first point of contact for privacy related issues.


As an independent advisor, with countervailing power, you will have a direct report to the Supervisory Board. On a periodical basis, you will identify and address compliance issues with the Executive Board. For daily responsibilities, you will report to the General Counsel and work in close consultation with the Risk- and Internal Audit Department. The position also requires frequent interaction with the regional investment teams, however, the need to travel to countries where Triple Jump is active is limited.  


Key responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and advise on compliance & regulatory policies and developments;
  • Develop, maintain and update such policies and procedures in line with (new) regulatory requirements;
  • Compliance monitoring and record keeping;
  • Identifying compliance risks and regulatory requirements;
  • Conduct integrity risk assessments, establish SIRA;
  • Further development and strengthening of the compliance program;
  • Enhancing risk mitigation measurements and controls;
  • Conducting and providing compliance training to the business;
  • Prepare and/or respond to regulatory inquiries;
  • Compliance reporting to the Executive Board/Supervisory Board;
  • Collaboration with external compliance advisors and management of compliance related projects (in collaboration with external parties).


Job requirements

  • A university degree in legal, business or compliance studies;
  • Strong knowledge of EU financial regulation related to financial markets, especially relating to asset management and advisory services (MiFID and AIFMD);
  • Relevant experience in a compliance function (> 5 years);
  • Specific knowledge on CDD, AML and Privacy;
  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry;
  • Capable of independent decision-making;
  • Team player, with countervailing power;
  • Culturally sensitive;
  • Affinity with Triple Jump’s mission and vision;
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of Dutch, Spanish and/or French preferred;
  • No disqualifications that would prevent successful supervisory pre-employment screening;
  • Possess a valid working permit for the European Union.
