Project Management Intern for CEI Africa

32-40 hours per week, based in Amsterdam

About CEI Africa

You will be working on CEI Africa (https://cei-africa.com/).

CEI Africa is a Dutch Foundation providing financing solution (grants, debt, equity, mezzanine) as well as technical assistance for off-grid companies in Sub-Saharan Africa. Triple Jump has been mandated as Foundation Manager of CEI Africa.

About the Role

As Project Management Intern, you will be supporting CEI Africa’s Project Management team across diverse work streams. This includes but is not limited to stakeholder engagement, managing processes and reporting, strategy development and implementation, marketing and communication, and other foundation management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in marketing and communication (e.g. development of communication strategy, preparation of press releases, answering general requests to CEIA’s email account, update of factsheet);

  • Support in design and updating of monitoring tools (e.g. development of a centralized portfolio overview, quarterly portfolio monitor);

  • Support in organization of Board, Supervisory Council and Contributors’ meetings as well as strategy workshops (e.g. preparation of agenda, presentations, minutes);

  • Support in reviewing and updating of CEIA’s operating model (e.g. processes, data management, documentation);

  • Support in reviewing and updating of CEIA’s strategies, policies and operating manuals as well as monitoring of their implementation (e.g. CDD and procurement requirements);

  • Support in knowledge management;

Requirements

  • You must be currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., business administration, economics, finance, development studies). *this is non negotiable, recent graduates are sadly not eligible.

  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical way of working.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse team environment.

  • Passion for impact investing, access to energy, and sustainable development.

  • A detail-oriented self-starter with a proactive mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to follow through independently while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

  • Adaptable and willing to support a range of functions, including operations, communications, and market development.
